We include gender lens investing (GLI) in our processes, aiming at building a 50/50 portfolio of investments in women and girls. GLI is investing with the understanding that gender is material to financial, business, and social outcomes. GLI aims to secure social well-being and economic opportunities for women, and can involve investing in women-owned or led enterprises, as well as products or services that improve the lives of women and girls.
Investing in Disability Inclusion is an opportunity for employers and investors. Indeed, companies that prioritise disability inclusion perform better and are considered better investments. We target 30% inclusion of people with disability in our organisation and in the investees we invest in over our investment period. We want to unlock opportunity in the workplace for people with disabilities through proactive policies that eliminate barriers and promote inclusion.
Investors and lenders that integrate ESG and Impact Measurement and Management actually achieve superior long-term returns from more sustainable investments while being less affected by risk and volatility. According to Morgan Stanley, sustainable funds outperformed their peers by a median of 2.8 percentage points in 2019. We have expertise and experience in integrating ESG and Impact in our own processes and also supporting our startups and organisations to integrate this in their daily operations.
